The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), yesterday reported that the nation’s power stations generated 94,627 megawatts per hour (MWh) of energy daily in the fourth quarter of last year, Independent reports.
The agency also said the thermal stations generated 84,026 MWh, while the hydro stations generated 21, 126 MWh out the total power generated during the period in view.
The daily energy generation attained a peak of 105,152 megawatts on December 8 last year, while the lowest daily energy generation was 73,246MWh and was attained on October 18, the report said.
The report added that on October 18, thermal stations generated 55,941 MWh out of the 73,246MWh. The hydro stations generated the remaining 17,305 MWh.
