Pipeline vandalism dropped by 48% in April – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), says it recorded a 48.21 per cent reduction in the rate of pipeline vandalism in the month of April this year.

The corporation conveyed this in its Monthly Financial and Operations Report for April 2018, contained in a statement by the NNPC’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu. Specifically, he said the number of vandalism fell to 166 from 224 vandalised points in the previous month.

According to the report, the Aba-Enugu pipeline segment accounted for 78 vandalised points, representing 84.78 percent of total vandalised points on the nation’s network of products pipelines.
