Speaking at the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria’s (GACN), Gas Buyers’ Forum in Abuja, yesterday, the Chief Executive Officer of GACN, Mr. Morgan Okwoche, called on the Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria to include GACN in the disbursement of the N701 billion intervention fund, due to its strategic role in the sector, Vanguard reports.

Okwoche noted that the GACN had developed synergy and was in a position to certify any invoice, prevent disputes in payments, and advise the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company (NBET) on companies to be paid.

He said the N701billion intervention from the Central Bank of Nigeria was not extended to the gas producers. As a result he said GACN had written to NBET and also to the Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola to involve the company to help in disbursing the N701billion to avoid disputes in the future.
