IBEDC signs conditions of service with workers’ unions

In an effort to achieve its goal of being the best power distribution company in Nigeria, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has signed Employee Condition of Service document between the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) and the Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC), on Tuesday.

At the signing ceremony which held at the distribution company’s office in Ibadan, IBEDC’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, John Donnachie, said he was pleased with the ratified by the two unions. According to him, signing the document was a step forward towards ensuring that the company’s employees were properly taken care of while in the employ of the company.

“Our employees are the most important assets IBEDC has” he said, while assuring that the company would keep treating its employees with fairness, integrity and support.
Responding, the General Secretary of NUEE, Joe Ajero said this was the first time a private distribution company was signing a document that assures employees safety and well-being while in their service.
