Explosion rocks Nigerian Gas Company facility in Delta


A deafening explosion in the early hours of today rocked an oil facility allegedly belonging to the Nigerian Gas Company (NGC), Vanguard reports.

The incident occurred around 4 am local time at a facility in Ejere community, Warri south local government area, Delta state. The area was however, said to have been cordoned off to reporters.

“Most of us ran out of our houses when we heard the explosion at about 4 am today, thinking it was Boko Haram that had invaded our community,” local resident Madam Ojijala was quoted as saying.
