Aveon Offshore boosts local content with new Egina manifolds


Aveon Offshore has unveiled its 257 tons Egina subsea production manifolds in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Vanguard reports.

Speaking at the ceremony, Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr Maikanti Baru said the development has reaffirmed the commitment of the company to the implementation of the Nigerian Content Act. He said the six manifolds constructed by Aveon Offshore with each weighing 257 tons were the heaviest so far built in Africa.

He further commended the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) and other stakeholders for their support to the fabrication firm in achieving the feat.
